Recipe: King's Hawaiian French Toast Cubes

Kings-Hawaiian-French-Toast-Cubes

French toast is one of my go-to breakfasts when I wake up wanting something sweet. It’s surprisingly simple and makes mornings a little bit more exciting. These King’s Hawaiian French Toast Cubes are super soft and eggy- a perfect mix of french toast and bread pudding.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 6 mini King’s Hawaiian rolls

  • 1 tsp butter for the pan

  • (optional) syrup

  • (optional) powdered sugar

Method:

  1. Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon together

  2. Cut the King’s Hawaiian rolls into about 2 inch cubes

  3. Butter the pan on medium-high heat

  4. Dip the bread into the egg mixture, coating all sides well. Don’t keep it in for too long, as King’s Hawaiian bread soaks up moisture quickly

  5. Cook the eggy cubes on the pan, rolling the cubes over until each side is your desired shade of brown

  6. Serve with powdered sugar and syrup
